Ghana’s leading payment service provider, Hubtel, has appointed finance veteran Simon Poole and digital transformation strategist Marjorie Saint-Lot to its Management Advisory Council.


The move underscores Hubtel’s ambition to expand across Africa and cement its reputation as one of the continent’s most trusted digital commerce and payments platforms.

Simon Poole

  1. A capital markets veteran with 30+ years’ experience at Bank of America, Guinness Nigeria, and Celtel International.
  2. Instrumental in Celtel’s $3B acquisition by Zain.
  3. Former Operating Partner at Helios Investment Partners, contributing to IPOs of Helios Towers, Vivo Energy, and CAB Payments in London.
  4. Has sat on boards of fintech leaders Interswitch (Nigeria) and Fawry (Egypt).
  5. Hubtel says his governance and capital markets expertise could help guide sustainable growth and potential future listings.

Marjorie Saint-Lot

  1. Currently leads Francophone Africa for Taptap Send, overseeing $300M in monthly transactions and four market launches.
  2. Ex-Uber exec, where she scaled Côte d’Ivoire operations 60x in a year and drove profitability in Ghana.
  3. Former senior leader at Orange Côte d’Ivoire (€300M acquisitions) and Digicel Haiti.
  4. Serves on the board of Ecobank Côte d’Ivoire and founded Yarey Consultancy Group.
  5. At Hubtel, she will focus on digital strategy, cross-border expansion, and stakeholder engagement.


With Poole and Saint-Lot onboard, Hubtel gains heavyweight experience in finance, governance, digital innovation, and regional expansion — reinforcing its vision to become “Africa’s most useful company.”
